Snap Shots of Briefing Session on Mentorship Program and Mentor Recruitment
QMN held a briefing session on mentorship program and mentor recruitment in the afternoon today, there were more than thirty persons attending to the briefing session, of which 13 were come from Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS).
Ms Winnie Lin, the Executive Secretary of Child Development Matching Fund (CDMF) and QMN talked about how the Child Development Fund (CDF) helps children and adolescents from disadvantaged families, and the origin of CDMF and QMN. Our instructor, Mr Mark Leung introduced the meaning of mentorship program, and what a mentor actually doing; besides, he is also a mentor himself. Moreover, we have invited a mentor, Ms Corla Lee, to share with us her experience of being a mentor, and what she gained from doing this.
More than 20 attendees returned us the response form, committing to be a mentor, also more than 20 attendees expressed their interest in taking our quality mentorship program, to learn the knowledge and skills to get along with the youngsters, as well as equip themselves to be a quality mentor. We acknowledge everyone who have an enthusiatic heart on serving our next generation!
